Sarah Pelayo is a Business teacher in Minidoka county at Mt. Harrison High School, where she teaches a variety of business courses including Business Computer Applications, Photoshop, Video1-Intro to Media, Business Essentials, Youth Entrepreneurs, Business Communications, Personal Finance, Marketing Economics, Business Ethics, and Yearbook.
She is passionate about public education earning her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Career and Technical Education and serves in many leadership capacities including Advisor of her school's Business Professionals of America Chapter, Membership Chair for the Career and Technical Educators of Idaho with the SDE. She has previous leadership roles as an Idaho state representative for the Marketing and Business Administration Leadership Forum (3 Yrs.), President of the Idaho Business Education Association as well as membership chair for the MCEA, her local education association.
Advocacy is another area Sarah is dedicated to. She works hard to support her students and colleagues as a member of the Idaho Education Association both locally as a former member of IEA's State-wide IGNITE committee, which was tasked with early-career mentorship and professional development. Becoming an Ethics Integration Specialist for the state of Idaho is one of her most recent accomplishments. Sarah exhumes tenacity and resourcefulness, a strong asset to all.
