You still have the option to participate in Summer Institute through our Online Only classes that will be held the first two days of Summer Institute, July 24 & 25. The bus from southern Idaho is also sold out.  If you would like to be added to the waiting list for the bus or in-person attendance, contact Katye Harris - kharris@idahoea.org.

The theme for this year’s IEA Summer Institute is "Adventure Awaits!" You can expect excitement and opportunities for growth and exploration as you learn, network with colleagues and reconnect with friends. This event will take place in-person at Lewis - Clark State College in Lewiston from July 24th to 27th, 2024. For those unable to attend physically, there will be online strands available on July 24th and 25th.

ONLINE ONLY - What is Advanced Professional Endorsement and How to Achieve It - Full Day

Idaho teacher compensation law changed in 2020 and established an Advanced Professional step on the career ladder. There are, however, more accountability requirements that go with this. This course walks participants through what is required to be considered Advanced Professional for movement on the state career ladder and provides strategies for how to advocate for themselves during the evaluation process.

ONLINE ONLY - Cruise Through the Praxis 5001 - Elementary Multiple Subjects - Full Day
Thursday July 25, 2024 8:30am - 4:15pm PDT
This session will cover the basics for approaching the Praxis.  Participants will also take an in-depth look at the four subjects covered in the Praxis 5001 in order to be successful.

This course is designed to prepare participants for the Praxis II for Elementary Education Multiple Subjects 5001. The course will examine the concepts required to pass the Praxis exam and will include access to multiple resources. Study techniques and exam registration information will also be included.

Targeted for grades K-8.
