I'm a retired teacher with 34 years experience in education, the first 22 teaching English and Drama in Moscow School District, 8 of those years also leading the new teacher mentoring program. I then spent 10 years as a teacher educator in the University of Idaho's Department of Curriculum and Instruction, and I continue to serve the learning community as a supervisor to student teachers and as IEA’s Center for Teaching and Learning’s Board of Directors Chair. A member of IEA since 1988, I have served as a building rep, as vice president of my local, as an IEA board member, as both DA and RA delegate, as a founding member of the Professional Development Committee and then founding member of the Center for Teaching and Learning. I love traveling, movies, vintage clothing and antiques, being in nature with my dogs, and not having to work unless I want to! I have two grown sons -- in Vietnam and Colorado Springs, one golden retriever, one Australian shepherd, and one husband of 40 years.
