2024 IEA Summer Institute

The theme for this year’s IEA Summer Institute is "Adventure Awaits!" You can expect excitement and opportunities for growth and exploration as you learn, network with colleagues and reconnect with friends. This event will take place in-person at Lewis - Clark State College in Lewiston from July 24th to 27th, 2024. For those unable to attend physically, there will be online strands available on July 24th and 25th.

Communication from Classroom to Parents and Back Again - 90 Min

You will learn some tried and true procedures to communicate with parents via email, phone, and the messaging software that comes with PowerSchool (or other school management software).

We will discuss strategies for starting a new school year, scenarios for delivering bad news/good news, and explore the use of templates to streamline the communication process.

Please bring strategies to share. We are interested in what does and does not work for you.

Targeted to High School and Middle School teachers that find teacher to parent communication a chore.
