The theme for this year’s IEA Summer Institute is "Adventure Awaits!" You can expect excitement and opportunities for growth and exploration as you learn, network with colleagues and reconnect with friends. This event will take place in-person at Lewis - Clark State College in Lewiston from July 24th to 27th, 2024. For those unable to attend physically, there will be online strands available on July 24th and 25th.

Smooth Sailing with Interactive Notebooks - Half Day

Are you interested in implementing interactive notebooks in your classroom? Do you like the idea of students ending class with a portfolio of learning? Are you nervous about how to get started with interactive notebooks?

This class will walk you through critical decisions for setting your class up for success when creating interactive notebooks. In this session, strategies and frameworks for smooth implementation will be presented. During this course you will create your own sample notebook for use and later reference, and you will begin brainstorming content applications.

As a user of interactive notebooks for over ten years, I will share all my tricks of the trade with you to make your adventure into interactive notebooks "smooth sailing".

Targeted to Grades 3-9.
