Project-based learning provides a hands-on means for today's students to pursue their own interests as well as direct application of some of the more difficult application-based skills mandated in the State's Science and ELA standards.

This presentation will define what Project-based learning is, how it looks, and strategies for successful application in the high school classroom. You will be presented with common problems encountered and learn how to address them. Finally, participants will be given an example of a class based solely on Project-Based Learning and be provided time to start their own Project-Based Learning activity.

Targeted to Grades 7-12.
